This project was inspired by the movie, The Danish Girl, a novel by American writer David Ebershoff, published in 2000 by the Viking Press. The story is about an early transgender person in history. I drew four barren trees near the sea with Lily, the main character, lying on the beach, to express a sense of isolation. I designed this picture as the dust jacket of the novel.
