Taking inspiration from Carl Jung's 'The Red Book,' I've crafted a textile-based playbook with the aim of leaving the protagonist in no doubt about the reality of his world. Within these pages, I raise a question: If our deeply ingrained ideology were to be overturned, would we embrace the shift with open-minded or frustration? This project intentionally concludes with an open-ended perspective, leaving room for interpretation.
Over the course of four months, I delved into a diverse array of techniques and materials. From embroidery to screen printing, from heat press disperse dyes to delicate silk hankies and wool, these components came together to the final creation. This book is a tangible representation of user interface design, presented through the medium of fabric. It blends the worlds of fine arts and UI design, using textiles and fabrics to describe user interface.
